California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger To Depart Public Office

On Monday, January 10th, 2011, the current Governor of the state of California will depart public office.

Arnold Schwarzenegger will be ending a seven-year run as the “Governator” that has received mixed opinion from the public.

According to the Montreal Gazette, the 63-year-old “leaves with an approval rating of only 22 per cent and a tripled $28-billion budget deficit”.

It is unknown what the former actor and bodybuilder will be doing next, though it has been announced that he will be speaking in Calgary on January 25th at the Telus Convention Centre.

The Montreal Gazette writes that “the topic of his talk is not yet known, [though] Schwarzenegger is expected to speak about politics, business, energy and the environment, and Canadian/American relations.”

Schwarzenegger will be replaced by Democrat, Jerry Brown, in the position of governor.
